After use wash the spit and fasteners in hot soapy water using an abrasive pad or brush, towel dry and store entire kit in the rugged carry sack.

FireChef Spit Roast Testimonials
Fantastic product and company ordered sun eve received wed morning
Nice storage bag, very robust. The spit, forks and ground spikes are items that will last a lifetime if well looked after. And the rotisserie motor is reassuringly well built.
It only took few minutes to set it up on the fire and the chicken were cooked to perfection. It also looked good near the camp fire and impressed few people around. I wish I had few of these for my outdoor wedding.

Hi, I’m a regular reader of your site. I think it is really entertaining & useful. I respect your views and want to know what you think. I am planning on going on a camping trip with my family & am searching for a good camping axe or hatchet to help with the firewood for the campfire. I have been looking at some reviews & I am still confused about which axe to buy. What do you think? Is it really better to have a more expensive option if I am only going camping a couple of times per year? Thank you so much for your feedback and thanks for the awesome articles that you share.

Hi Earl York. Thank you for your kind feedback on the site, sorry for not getting back sooner. Regarding axe choice, I would go for a quality hachet. Depending on budget there are the top end Swedish hatchets though for a fraction of the price I am sure you could find a good one, Husqvarna’s hatchet looks good value. Remember, an axe is for life 🙂 For firewood and wild camping my go to bit of kit is a bow saw- lightweight and fast for breaking down fallen wood up to 5 inches diameter.
